BITXTRADE.ONLINE is a scam operated in the pretence of a company registered in UK, BITXTRADE LTD (the company does not seem to exist in the Register of Companies in UK). They target unsuspecting victims via social media and send direct messages to the victims through Facebook Messenger or [removed by editor]. They would also tag victims on facebook with posts showing fake winnings or status updates.Once they have a victim, they would persuade the victim to transfer funds of no less than USD300 into a fake trading account via bitcoin or other cryptocurrency. They will convince the victim that the bitcoin address was created and linked to the client’s trading account. Else, they could ask the victim to fund the training account using LUNO, and the scammers’ reference number for the payment. After the deposit of the funds, they would create a fake account on the trading platform https://bitxtrade.online and show false activity of huge profits being generated. The scammers will then persuade you to upgrade the account by depositing more funds. Also, should you try to withdraw any amount, they would tell you it is impossible to withdraw unless you deposit more money to upgrade the account. On their fake trading platform, they claim to be operating in Washington, but the company is registered in UK – in some pages the company is documented as registered in Washington. They have a chat facility on the website, but they will disappear when you start asking difficult questions. They also have a telephone line published on the website, but when called, it is either not answered or someone will answer very unprofessionally and dodgy. Since being scammed by BITXTRADE.ONLINE, I have come across one person who also complains of having been scammed by these scammers. These scammers must be closed, and their website and social media pages pulled off from the net. The following accounts/ profiles were used in the scam:• ******************• ***************• ***************• ***************• *****************
