It’s alarming how major internet companies are growing by ignoring their customers and brushing off unauthorized charges. Recently, I discovered that Agoda[removed by editor] and Booking[removed by editor] are both owned by the same parent company, Booking Holdings, Inc., yet neither has responded to my inquiries about charges I received through Affirm[removed by editor].<br />

The issue started with Booking[removed by editor], where I noticed a transaction was canceled on their end. I checked with Agoda[removed by editor], and they also confirmed the cancellation on their side. Despite both platforms showing the transaction as canceled, I was still charged, and I’m left wondering why.<br />

To make matters worse, Affirm is now coming after me because I disputed the charge on my account. Their collections provider is relentlessly hounding me, and my credit has taken a hit. None of these companies—Booking[removed by editor], Agoda[removed by editor], or Affirm[removed by editor]—are willing to take responsibility. Their response has been a frustrating loop of, “Please contact the merchant for assistance with refunds or returns.”<br />

The property owner never received the payment due to the cancellation, yet I’m still stuck with a charge of $299.10. It’s unbelievable that these companies can’t resolve a straightforward issue and instead pass the blame around, leaving customers like me to deal with the fallout.<br />

Stay vigilant when dealing with these companies. They might look like separate entities, but they’re part of the same giant, and they won’t hesitate to leave you in the lurch when things go wrong.

I first came across Webonli[removed by editor] in 2021 while exploring platforms for my business. Although I wasn’t ready to commit back then, I decided to give it a try in January 2022, making my first payment and starting to learn more about their builder platform. Almost immediately, I discovered that their platform requires additional software and in-app services, which were not clearly disclosed upfront.<br />

Frustrated, I decided to cancel my account and all associated services in March 2022. However, to my shock, I found out in April that the cancellation had not been processed, and I was still being charged. When I reached out to the company, I initially received automated responses. Eventually, the business owner contacted me and expressed his regrets, but after that, I heard nothing further.<br />
<br />
Despite my cancellation, Webonli[removed by editor] continued to charge me the same amount month after month, up until December 2022. These charges included fees for both the main account and an in-app upgrade—services I had clearly canceled. I also have screenshots showing my account status before and after cancellation, confirming that my account information was removed from the platform.<br />
<br />
This experience has been extremely frustrating and costly, especially since my business relies on the same account for other essential services. I have never seen such disregard for customer concerns and clear cancellation requests.<br />

I want to warn others about Webonli[removed by editor]’s unethical billing practices and lack of accountability. They continued to bill me without authorization, and their communication is almost non-existent once you encounter an issue. Please be careful if you consider using this platform, as they do not honor their cancellation policies and are quick to charge without proper consent.
