It costs money to submit a track to MusicXray. I submitted one to an "industry professional". He said he liked the track but...it was not a good fit for what he was looking for. So I sent a message to him via his website with a link to that track and asked if he had any projects in future could I send him something - but carefully curated of course. No reply at all.<br />

So, a minority of the requests on there are legit (I know this because a company I know requests submissions there) but I reckon the majority are scammers earning money on the side. They get probably $10 -$20 per submission - 100 submissions earns them at least $1000.<br />

I am so bloody sick and tired of companies like Music Xray (and there are 1000s of others just the same) preying on the desperate hopes and dreams of artists, writers and producers.
