I recently purchased a moissanite engagement ring from Infinity Diamond Jewellery and felt compelled to review my experience.
I was a little nervous when buying online, I’m not a huge internet shopper and spending so much money is always a bit scary. My wife has wanted to upgrade her engagement ring for years and we came across moissanite as an ethical diamond alternative option and spent weeks looking at different websites.<br />

We took the plunge and bought our ring which arrived a couple of weeks later, having been slung over our driveway gates! The packaging was a bit battered and bruised. At first glance the ring appeared cheap and flimsy and it just didn’t have any wow factor.<br />

It’s at this point I asked a friend of ours for a second opinion and this is where things started to really unravel. The ring had not been UK hallmarked and it’s illegal to sell rings in the UK that are un-hallmarked. As no UK hallmark was present the rings metal content can not be verified, hence our dismay! And the fact that it’s illegal to sell jewellery without a hallmark really calls into question where on earth the ring is from?<br />

I’m afraid this is where it went from bad to worse, we proceeded to look into matters further and it turns out the exact same ring is available on Ali Express for half the price!<br />

Ali Express is a Chinese wholesale platform, so I can buy the exact same ring directly from China as opposed to paying a mark up from Infinity Diamond Jewellery!<br />

Having looked through most of the engagement ring range you can find these on Ali Express (the images are identical!). Who know’s if the two things are connected?! But the fact the ring came without UK hallmarking would suggest this is a distinct possibility.<br />

I’ve proceeded to return the ring and await a refund following several email requests. Why on they will not provide a phone number for me to call is ridiculous.<br />

In summary, very disappointed by the whole experience and not a service I’d recommend for any couples looking for an engagement ring. Especially when spending so much money. Avoid this place at all costs!
