Received sandals jammed into fabric sack, not in a box. The sandals were received crushed and stretched. Upon opening delivery bag, before opening the sack, I was hit with a strong chemical smell from the sandals. Website advertises sandals are made from "premium cowhide leather." Premium cowhide leather is not treated with chemicals like VOC's. <br />

I requested a return immediately after opening my package however, shipping costs are my responsibility. I should not have to incur shipping costs to return goods that were sent to me damaged or damaged because they were not properly sent in a box by the merchant, Liberte Leather. Not to mention, I paid for additional shipping protection upon making my purchase! Actually, when I was sent the approved return request email, it read "Please pack the product neatly and with all original labels (Items will not be refunded if returned crushed or damaged). Oh, the irony.<br />

I have requested a prepaid postage, to return the sandals. Let's hope they do the right thing.
