Purchased some furniture from Coleman Furniture in April - they took 100% payment in April but actual delivery was made September. Delivery was made with furniture already completely assembled. At the time of the delivery, the middle leaf of the
dining table was already installed. Once the table was brought inside the house, the person receiving the furniture asked the delivery people to remove the middle leaf. They refused point blank. Only three (3) weeks later when we tried to remove the middle leaf, we understood why the delivery people refused to remove it: underneath there was structural damage to the table glides, damage clearly made by those who assembled the furniture, damage they were trying to hide. We contacted Coleman Furniture immediately with detailed pictures of hidden damages. Coleman Furniture's response was:
- they are acting only as an intermediary between us, their customer, and the manufacturer (Chinese)
- manufacturer (Chinese) refuses to get involved
- Coleman Furniture states that the dining table should have been completely inspected at the time of deliver - how can one woman who received the delivery turn the table upside down and find the damages clearly done during assembly?
- Coleman Furniture refused to repair/replace the table
