I ordered 20 boxes of a discontinued Great Value drink mix that they claimed to have in stock. In retrospect, it was too good to be true, so I should have run the other way. I made a purchase and paid via PayPal. Another red flag: the payee was a person, and not a company, and my payment appeared as a "donation". Again, I should have known immediately that something was wrong, but the order was already submitted.

I received a "Thanks for your order" e-mail, but no shipping information, no tracking number, nothing. A couple weeks went by, and there was no sign of a shipment. I tried going back to the website to get a status, and it was like I had never purchased anything.

I contacted PayPal to complain about the scam, and was told "Since you made a donation, this purchase is not covered under our Purchase Protection guarantee." No amount of explaining on my part made any headway with the idiots at PayPal. They either didn't understand or didn't care that they were abetting an Internet scammer in the commission of a crime.
Ultimately, I turned to my credit card company. The ONLY thing that helped me [removed by editor] my money was the fact that I have an excellent relationship with my credit card company. I don't know if the lying scammer got to keep her ill-gotten money, but I got a refund for the scammed funds. Regardless, I will not make another purchase at this site, and I would advise anyone considering one to RUN! Don't believe the lies.
