As with all online businesses, there are no guarantees. However, a cautious approach can offset some of the fear of loss. Start with a "reasonable" amount to invest. Do not put your life's savings into anything and do not take a loan or borrow money to get involved. Withdraw your profits to get your initial investment back. From that point on, you are risk free, playing with profits instead of investment capital. Reinvest a proportion of your subsequent profits to groww your asset and withdraw the other proportion to generate "real profit". Real profit is money you have taken out of an investment site and it is in your own decentralized, noncustodial wallet. That is the only "real" money in any online business.
I am trying to find out about this organization. I notice on their web site they do not have any real "About Us" information such as Company name, address, phone number, legal jurisdiction and, most importantly of all, details of who their regulator is. Operating in the financial world, a reputable company will have a regulator such as the SEC in the USA, FCA in the UK, etc. The regulator will be able to verify their authenticity. On the Convert Safe web site, I cannot find any reference to being licenced, registered or approved by anyone.
I checked the blockchain data for the deposit wallet and 12 other people before me have deposited their $249 to activate this service. It would be interesting if any of them report this company on this site or give some positive feedback. Personally, I would love for their claims to be true, but I am highly skeptical. I have asked for the blockchain address of the wallet where my money is held and it has not been provided (yet!).
I think the scam is that [removed by editor] Union contact you with all sorts of promises to get your money back from a broker. In order to receive the money you must register with their processor, Convert Safe, and this costs $250. I believe that once I register (Activate my account) with Convert Safe, I'll pay my $250 and that's the last I'll hear from either company. This is quite clever because, many of these scams rely on delaying tactics to give them time to keep the scam going to get more victims. If a scam had to shut up shop the first time someone rumbled them, the scam might not be worth doing. I think the delaying tactics will come in by [removed by editor]y Union insisting that the problems are not caused by them and suggesting that you keep trying to contact Convert Safe. You will be asked to provide details and proofs and descriptions and narratives, all the while delaying things. Then you will be told that this will take 14 days to investigate. Then a further 3 weeks to write to an ombudsman. All the while, they are maintaining the scam to rope more victims in. Then, one day, the web site will be gone and the phones will be discontinued. I hope I'm wrong because I would live to get my money back.
This is all enabled by their insistence on paying the activation fees by crypto, specifically Bitcoin. The problem is that there is no accountability with cryptocurrencies. Once they have my money, if they disappear, I have no recourse. I would be much more comfortable if they accepted payment from a credit or debit card because, if they take my money and don't do what they said, I can complain to my credit card company who will raise a chargeback with the company and I'll get my money back. At the very least, all of my Visa transactions are insured by Visa. I notice that on the Convert Safe web site is an option to pay by Visa, but [removed by editor]y Union insist that, because they will be transferring my [removed by editor]ed funds via Bitcoin, my Convert Safe account must be activated with Bitcoin. This makes no sense unless it is all part of the scam. If this were legit, I could activate my account with a Visa card or MasterCard and then receive my [removed by editor]ed funds via any method I wanted, including Bitcoin.
