Eyes wide open, provider bewareThis is for any web design/developers/seo/advertisers
1. Lower your expectations, i mean right to the gutter low… i’ve tried this platform for over a year now, spent around $3k on leads + another $5k on time spent chasing sales/following up/being ignore/writing custom quotes/stuffing you around even when saying they want to go ahead, etc… probably got my money back so far, just but i do much better just replying in a helpful way on local facebook groups and leave my details behind (the original poster barely ever reaches out because they posted because they want most things for free but it always ends up with someone else who is genuine and happy to pay following me up later)…
2. The quality of leads are ‘worse than poor’… some of the coldest leads you’ll ever receive and often their attitude is disgusting, either dob’t answer at all or are the rudest people you’ll ever work with… extremely ‘rare’ to get a decent person (the 2 i converted were).
3. Out of around 40 leads (9 of which i managed to work out / reach out too without purchasing or they reached out to me), i managed to covert ‘2’… so the % is LOW, and this seems to be normal for bark, just read all the other reviews on here… and the reason? Absolutely ‘zero’ accountability for the ‘poster’ of services required… costs you around $60 to reach out, then 9.5/10 don’t even respond at all…
I would recommend only using this platform as a lead source as a ‘last resort’… it is not the quality opportunity you were hoping for, do the following instead;
-network (BNI, local chamber of commerce, etc)
-actively engage/help without pitching your services in local facebook groups (leave your contact details so they can reach you if they want but that’s it)
-cold call or cold email all businesses local to you to offer your services
-flyers & letter drops
-signage
-then consider bark[removed by editor] for leads… still better than fiverr or freelancer type websites where unless you’re based in a 3rd world country where $5USD actually means something, it isn’t worth your time at all…

P.s. I’ve tried on numerous occasions to give Bark this feedback but every single time, they couldn’t care less and don’t want to hear it… too busy taking your/your competitors money to be bothered improving their systems… it could actually be ‘GREAT’… hopefully it gets sold to someone with better ethics/business standards and someone who ‘cares’ about the providers ‘paying’ their wages…
