This site is a scam. Guy contacted me wanting to "buy" my car that was just put up for sale. I already had a legit carfax and Experian VIN report. First red flag: He said "No" to the carfax report (the best in the business) because it didn't "show
him 2 accidents on another vehicle he purchased." He didn't go in for the "kill" right away either. He chatted me up about the condition, what he was looking for in the car, and asking legit questions about my car (listed on Craigslist and Autotrader). Then, I offered the legit Experian vehicle report as an alternative. "No thank you- I trust these 2 only". So I did a "Whois" search on both websites, and alexa rank lookups, and checked here. Scammer. Website set up up last month. Probably harvesting credit card numbers. I told him to "F-off Scammer parasite- you "trust" these sites because they're your scamming sites!" He replied back with a bunch of expletives. Checkmate. I've had 7 or 8 of these guys contact me over the last 3 days- method was always the same: "I'm really interested, want to meet, etc etc. But I need a vehicle report". And they always refuse Both Carfax and Experian. - this one however was the slickest- slick website, showing their "team"- contacted their customer service number- no answer- recording. His Whois info from the lookup was also anonymous. I looked up images of his team- no matches on google images anywhere else. The site had all the "trust" badges, credit card images, guarantees, etc. And, a "50% off Popup" that immediately comes up on any page you click (another red flag). His alternate site was "autoreportcenter[removed by editor]" same bullshit, scam set up. Same look, feel to the website. Same poor Alexa ranking, 50% off popup, and Whois that showed the site was set up a month ago. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!
