Unscrupulous Operator?
My dismal review is based not only on their failure to deliver services as promoted, but more particularly due to the abject lack of any proactive customer service experience if it could even be called such a thing. So, 1) I
ordered and paid for their mailbox service to have small packages delivered in Berlin and the very first package I had shipped there was not delivered, DHL tracking seems to indicate it was declined. 2) I then informed the Clevver helpdesk that this occurred and that I was very disappointed and the response to me was anything but helpful and concerned, only sharply cyninal and denying that anything happened regardless of the evidence, no explanation or support was offered, certainly no apology. I then replied that this failure makes their service useless to me and I that I would like to cancel. Clevver replied with a message explaining demonstrably how to do that by turning the auto-renew feature off in settings, which I then did and saved very definitely. 3) I thought that should be the end of it, but renewal time came around and well - I was charged and greeted with emails stating that my account had been renewed and my card charged. Of course, I immediately complained and asked that the charge be reversed and received a terse reply ignoring the fact that auto-renew was disabled but claiming that I had not given a 14 day advance notice of cancellation and therefore the charge was correct. Nevermind that this was a monthly plan to begin with, and that I had made it clear I wanted to cancel when delivery of my first package failed, and neverminf that I had followed the provided instructions and disabled auto-renew. So apparently a disabled auto-renew setting explicitly off does not mean anything? 14 days advance notice? This seems totally improvised to deny the charge reversal. All subsequent emails have been ignored. I have a feeling that this service may be operated by 1 or 2 individuals as the reply emails border on outright rudeness, cynicism and of absolutely no help with no offer to be of any help - only blame assigned to the customer. It seems that any reasonable company would and do gladly offer a refund when mistakes are made and/or the customer is dissatisfied to build trust and a positive reputation.
