Stolen $34,000 by scam exchang.io
Don't use this exchange under any circumstances. They are scammers and complete amateurs. Let me tell you the story of it.
Previously I had used them quite a few times but this time I saw a new pair of XMR<->FIRO.
I decided to give it a go as i did think XMR would tank on the upcoming delisting of XMR on Binance.<br />

Trade started normaly I paid the XMR on 2 separate trades and gave them SPARK addresses instead of TRANSPARENT addresses. Spark are new addresses recently added by Firo network upgrade and there was no error on the Exchang.io website. Exchang.io hasn't updated their systems like the amateurs they are and didn't complete my transfers. I sent them several messages on the contact form but no answer. Next I sent them an email to which they responded "these addresses are not valid". I provided them with proof from the official Firo blog that they are. Exchang.io responded they are checking it. <br />

They were checking and checking and checking until they said "send dust from sm..." - clearly they don't understand how spark addresses work. I explained to that to them several times and in the end to end complications (and because they are amateurs who don't understand how it works) I sent them a transparent address like how their system used to be.<br />

They still refused to do that. Now they were questioning if "I was the owner of those 2 transactions". Yes I could not believe their stupidity either. But was it stupidity or was it malicious? The answer came quick.<br />

I provided them with not only the transaction hash from Monero but also the local tx key. Now a quick google of "monero tx key" shows clear information about what it is - used to prove and verify transactions. The monero tx key is not relayed and can't be retrieved even if you [removed by editor] the monero wallet itself on another machine. IT IS LOCAL AND CREATED ONCE.<br />

After all that. They said and I quote here "Because there is still a probability that someone besides the original owner could get access to the view keys. We need to eliminate this probability."<br />

If it wasn't such a scam one would laugh at these clowns.<br />

I'm now out of pocket for $34,000 worth of Firo. It has been over 3 weeks of back and forth. I have all the proof, tx key, transaction information available for anyone who wants it.<br />
