The company "reMarkable" is a SCAM! Avoid them at all costs. I was scammed by reMarkable in February, I just now got my refund of $430 (but only because my CC helped me fight them. They make numerous FALSE claims on all their ads, such as battery
life lasting days on end, when it doesn't last past 24.5 hours. They claim they're from Norway, but they're based in Hong Kong. I was duped into getting reMarkable1, they've fooled several hundred, possibly more people into pre-ordering the reMarkable2 starting in March, only to send them 3 excuses about delaying their shipment even further, the last one just went out claiming Covid-19 as a reason for delaying any shipments until October at the earliest. They're next to impossible to get a hold of, & when you do finally talk to someone, they're condescending, double-talking, incompetent salesman, who just give excuse after excuse or they pass you onto another department, which I believe don't exist. The 4 people I had to talk to regularly in the last 5+ months, I started suspecting they're all the same person, because they can't all make the same grammar errors & misspell the same words in their communications. The hoops they make you jump through just to get them to answer your questions is ridiculous. They even told me that they "decided to allow me to return the defective device to Hong Kong for a refund." Like they were doing me some grand favor for not being able to get their stupid product to work. They ignore EVERYONE on IG who ask direct questions, & they ignored most of my concerns. For instance, they never once acknowledged my pleas for help when my tablet froze in Sleep Mode for 5 days straight. They ignored my complaints that the WiFi wouldn't connect properly most days. They never explained the random shut offs that reMarkable did all by itself, almost daily. & They told me things like the screen being difficult to read, even in a lit room; the discoloration of the material, the terrible text converter, & the battery constantly needing recharged was "all normal behavior" & I was told to get used to it or send it back. I chose to send it back, & then the real nightmare began. They make you go to a special website, create a new account, fill out numerous forms, print them, & package/ship the stupid thing back to Hong Kong but ONLY using DHL. DHL is a total joke & nowhere near me anyways, & they told me to use DHL or I'd have to pay for shipping myself. It took weeks just to get it to Denver (2 hours away) to a DHL hub, & they still managed to lose it in the mail system with “NO RECORD” of their DHL or reMarkable numbers, even though they were the #s THEY gave me!!! I was told repeatedly that I was 100% responsible & liable for it until they got it in Hong Kong, & spent 10 more days “inspecting it”. BUYER BEWARE! The biggest hassle I’ve ever been through. TOTAL SCAM! SCAMMER! SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!! <br />
