This company is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau and it shows.
Their business practice is to overestimate the quality of their products and to trick people to buy their products via false advertising. Customers are told they can return
their goggles if not satisfied, and throughout the purchasing process there is no indication that protective goggles with prescription lenses cannot be refunded. So people end up ordering the goggles and end up having to keep goggles they cannot use.
In my case, the goggles with prescription lenses are unusable, as they give me nausea and headache from just 3-5 minutes of wearing. This is both due to the fact that the lenses lack anti reflective coating, and due to the fact that the lenses do not respect my pupillary distance. The lenses are also poor quality, they seem like cheap demo lenses.
Their client service has a very gotcha attitude towards the clients and they try to blame the client for apparently not reading half of their website to find that prescription goggles are not refundable. Customers cannot be blamed for that, as there is no such direct information. Quite the opposite. The only way one can grasp this is in FAQs where there is information only about the nonprescription, but not a single mention of this in the part in which they present the options for prescription goggles to clients. This is meant to trick clients into thinking they can return their purchase for a refund.
Not to say that the goggles barely meet OSHA standards and are overly priced pieces of brittle plastic.
You can read more about their problematic approach in the complaints people made on the Better Business Bureau website. You have an example below of someone who had a similar experience to mine. Stoggles still refuses to refund them:
"I bought a pair of medical goggles from this merchant on 6/22, using my current vision prescription. Unfortunately, the prescription on the goggles that I received make me very dizzy, to the point where I can't use them. I have multiple other pairs of glasses with the same prescription that have no similar effect on me - I believe this issue may relate to some issue that's unique to adding a prescription to Stoggles goggles. Stoggles clearly indicates on its website (see FAQs) that with its "30-Day Guarantee, you may return your Stoggles for a refund (excludes shipping fees) within 30 days of receiving your order, no questions asked." (Screenshot attached) The company makes no mention of prescription goggles not being subject to the same return policy. I requested a refund from Stoggles on 7/5, in line with its published refund policy. Unfortunately, the company rejected my requested, claiming that prescription goggles cannot be returned for a refund. I'm submitting this complaint for what I perceive to be false advertising with respect to the company's return policy. I'm seeking a refund for my purchase **********"
