Scam Fighter Review of lady-coat.com

Lady-coat is a website that claims to offer women’s clothing items. The website has consistently been among the most-searched websites on Scamadviser.com. Therefore, we have done an in-depth review for the benefit of our users. Website Information Official Domain lady-coat.com Registered on 2020-04-07 Location Not provided Owner Not provided Alexa Rank 1,791,625 Website Speed No data Lady-coat is an online women’s clothing store that claims to be selling sweaters, bottoms, tops, dresses and more. The website has been registered in April 2020 and the registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have been hidden for privacy.  The website looks quite low-quality as it contains sparse text and low-resolution images. The footer on the bottom of the page states ‘Powered By Shoplazza’, which suggests that Lady-coat may be a Chinese website. This is because Shoplazza is a Chinese counterpart of Shopify.  The quality of the images is poor, which is quite surprising for a fashion website. The reason for this seems to be that the images have been copied from other websites. Take the below example of the image of a sweater supposedly being sold by Lady-coat for $48.15. The original image seems to be a sweater created by fashion designer named Sid Neigum and would sell for no less than a few hundred dollars. The image on Lady-coat has been cropped to hide the model’s face. Every few minutes on the website, an orange pop-up shows

Webshop Review

The Tranco ranking of this website is low. This can be considered low in relation to other websites from the website's country. If you think this website should be very popular, please invest additional time in researching the company as this is suspicious. For a smaller or starting website a low ranking can be considered normal.

We lowered the lady-coat.com review score as we found several websites on the same server with a low trust score. Online scammers have a tendency to set-up multiple malicious websites on one server, sometimes more than hundreds. You can see which websites we found under the "Server" tab on this page.

We recommend you read our article "How to recognize counterfeit products" before you proceed. This website has received one or more votes that it may be selling fake products. If they do, we recommend not buying from them. Apart from the fact that fake product sellers often do not deliver, the products may be endangering your health and you may be supporting other criminal activities as well.

Technical Review

We identified an SSL certificate meaning that the data shared between your browser and the website is encrypted and cannot be read by others. SSL certificates are always used by legit and safe websites. Unfortunately scammers increasingly also use SSL certificates so it is no guarantee that you are visiting a reliable website.

As the influence of the internet rises, so does the prevalence of online scams. There are fraudsters making all kinds of claims to trap victims online - from fake investment opportunities to online stores - and the internet allows them to operate from any part of the world with anonymity. The ability to spot online scams is an important skill to have as the virtual world is increasingly becoming a part of every facet of our lives. The below tips will help you identify the signs which can indicate that a website could be a scam. Common Sense: Too Good To Be True When looking for goods online, a great deal can be very enticing. A Gucci bag or a new iPhone for half the price? Who wouldn’t want to grab such a deal? Scammers know this too and try to take advantage of the fact. If an online deal looks too good to be true, think twice and double-check things. The easiest way to do this is to simply check out the same product at competing websites (that you trust). If the difference in prices is huge, it might be better to double-check the rest of the website. Check Out the Social Media Links Social media is a core part of ecommerce businesses these days and consumers often expect online shops to have a social media presence. Scammers know this and often insert logos of social media sites on their websites. Scratching beneath the surface often reveals this fu

So the worst has come to pass - you realise you parted with your money too fast, and the site you used was a scam - what now? Well first of all, don’t despair!! If you think you have been scammed, the first port of call when having an issue is to simply ask for a refund. This is the first and easiest step to determine whether you are dealing with a genuine company or scammers. Sadly, getting your money back from a scammer is not as simple as just asking.  If you are indeed dealing with scammers, the procedure (and chance) of getting your money back varies depending on the payment method you used. PayPal Debit card/Credit card Bank transfer Wire transfer Google Pay Bitcoin PayPal If you used PayPal, you have a strong chance of getting your money back if you were scammed. On their website, you can file a dispute within 180 calendar days of your purchase. Conditions to file a dispute: The simplest situation is that you ordered from an online store and it has not arrived. In this case this is what PayPal states: "If your order never shows up and the seller can't provide proof of shipment or delivery, you'll get a full refund. It's that simple." The scammer has sent you a completely different item. For example, you ordered a PlayStation 4, but instead received only a Playstation controller.  The condition of the item was misrepresented on the product page. This could be the
