Consumer Review of cutee.store

Cutee is a website that claims to be selling ‘mystery boxes’ containing products from ‘unclaimed packages’ from major chains such as Amazon. It has consistently been among the most-searched websites on Scamadviser.com. Therefore, we have done an in-depth review for the benefit of our users. Website Information Official Domain cutee.store Registered on 2021-01-04 Location Fujian, China Owner Not provided Alexa Rank 976,464  (Fairly High) Website Speed No data Cutee is an online store that claims to be selling ‘mystery boxes’ containing goods from clearance sales and ‘unclaimed packages’. The website is of extremely low quality and is quite new as it has been created only in January 2021. Despite this, the website has a considerably high Alexa rank, which means that it is somewhat popular.  The prices of the website are simply too good to be true. For example, they offer a mystery box containing ‘1-7 drones’ for just $69.99. However, they have used images of drones that cost hundreds of dollars lifted from various sources, including news articles. This is an extremely strong indication of a potential scam, which is amplified by the fact that the Cutee is a Chinese website as per the domain registration data. Another hint that Cutee is a Chinese operation is the fact that it is hosted on Shoplazza, which is the Chinese equivalent of Shopify. Scam...scam...
I too fell victim to Zi'an Technology. Supposedly bought 4 "bulk pallets " ONLY to receive 4 dollar store items. Since I paid thru PayPal I was able to return the items (at my expense of course) for a full refund.
I bought 2 items. Wasted $20 for products I could buy for a dollar at the dollar store.
Scam. I posted a review a few minutes ago but forgot to put how many stars. I would say 0.

Company Evaluation

The owner of the website is hiding his identity. Spammers use this information to promote services to website owners. Some website owners therefor chose to hide their contact details. However, it can also be misused by scammers. Our algorithm gives a high rating if the identity of the website owner is shown.

Gathering reviews from customers takes a lot of orders. Usually, only 1 customer in 100 leaves a review. If a website has 100 reviews, it means it has had 10,000 orders. We are therefore suspicious if a very young website has a lot of reviews. Please take time to check the reviews. All positive reviews without much background information can be fake. Our article How to Recognize Fake Reviews offers several tips to separate real from fake reviews.

Webshop Evaluation

This domain name has only been registered recently. This means that the website is actually quite young and few if any consumers have had time to leave reviews or social media comments. It is therefore best to check this website thoroughly to make sure the website was not set-up by a scammer. Please check out our article "How to recognize a scam".

We received one or more reports that this website may be selling fakes. Buying fake products can be dangerous to your health (especially medicines). It also helps criminals make money. In addition, fake product producers hardly ever care for the environment or social welfare of their workers. While we understand that fake products are a lot cheaper and therefore interesting to buy, be aware that many fake product sellers also do not deliver. Check our blog post "How to recognize counterfeit products" for more information.

Legit websites often reside on servers with many other safe websites. In this case however we identified several unreliable websites hosted on the same server as the website. This may be a negative signal and as a result we lowered the review of cutee.store. To see which other websites are hosted on the same server, please check the "Server" tab lower on this page.

Technical Evaluation

The server of this website is based in a hosting center in a country that is marked as being high risk. This means that the country is listed by the International Banking Federation as having a high level of fraud and corruption.

We found a valid SSL Certificate. An SSL certificate is used to secure communication between your computer and the website. There are different levels of SSL certification. A free one is also available and this one is used by online scammers. Still, not having an SSL certificate is worse than having one, especially if you have to enter your contact details.

As the influence of the internet rises, so does the prevalence of online scams. There are fraudsters making all kinds of claims to trap victims online - from fake investment opportunities to online stores - and the internet allows them to operate from any part of the world with anonymity. The ability to spot online scams is an important skill to have as the virtual world is increasingly becoming a part of every facet of our lives. The below tips will help you identify the signs which can indicate that a website could be a scam. Common Sense: Too Good To Be True When looking for goods online, a great deal can be very enticing. A Gucci bag or a new iPhone for half the price? Who wouldn’t want to grab such a deal? Scammers know this too and try to take advantage of the fact. If an online deal looks too good to be true, think twice and double-check things. The easiest way to do this is to simply check out the same product at competing websites (that you trust). If the difference in prices is huge, it might be better to double-check the rest of the website. Check Out the Social Media Links Social media is a core part of ecommerce businesses these days and consumers often expect online shops to have a social media presence. Scammers know this and often insert logos of social media sites on their websites. Scratching beneath the surface often reveals this fu

So the worst has come to pass - you realise you parted with your money too fast, and the site you used was a scam - what now? Well first of all, don’t despair!! If you think you have been scammed, the first port of call when having an issue is to simply ask for a refund. This is the first and easiest step to determine whether you are dealing with a genuine company or scammers. Sadly, getting your money back from a scammer is not as simple as just asking.  If you are indeed dealing with scammers, the procedure (and chance) of getting your money back varies depending on the payment method you used. PayPal Debit card/Credit card Bank transfer Wire transfer Google Pay Bitcoin PayPal If you used PayPal, you have a strong chance of getting your money back if you were scammed. On their website, you can file a dispute within 180 calendar days of your purchase. Conditions to file a dispute: The simplest situation is that you ordered from an online store and it has not arrived. In this case this is what PayPal states: "If your order never shows up and the seller can't provide proof of shipment or delivery, you'll get a full refund. It's that simple." The scammer has sent you a completely different item. For example, you ordered a PlayStation 4, but instead received only a Playstation controller.  The condition of the item was misrepresented on the product page. This could be the
