In November 2023 I paid 199 euros to Bank.pro to open a business bank account. After 7 months I still don't have a bankaccount. I cannot make any transactions. I asked for money back but that was not possible. They still ask for extra information.
Do not invest here. They are very quick to collect your money, but when it comes time to withdraw it, they stop answering your calls and emails and then eventually disappear. I lost about $37,455 to this company. Luckily, at first I got frustrated

Company Rating

We see that the owner of the website is using a service to hide his/her identity. This may be because the owner does not want to get spammed. However, it also makes it difficult to identify the real owner of the website. As a result, websites hiding their identity get a slightly lower score.

We identified keywords that indicate that the company may offer very high-risk financial services, meaning services that may offer a high return; but also a high likelihood of losing (all) your money. We advise you to be very careful. There are no financial services that can guarantee you a high income or offer investments without risks. With high potential revenues from investments always come a high likelihood of losing all your money. Want to know more? Read our blog post on "High Risk Financial Investment Scams".

This website appears to offer services along the lines of banking, money lending, trading stocks, and other similar financial services, but is hosted on a shared server. The danger with using a shared server for such data-sensitive services is that an attacker can use just one compromised website on the same server as a gateway to all other sites on the same server. We advise that you reconsider using the services offered on this website as the personal information you enter on it and by extension, your device, may become vulnerable to a cyber attack as a result.

Webshop Analysis

According to Tranco this site has a low Tranco rank. This means that the number of visitors to this website is quite low. You can expect this from a small, starting or niche website. A popular website however should have a higher ranking.

This website seems to offer a service to download games. This may be a legit service but we have found several websites in the past which are run by scammers. Scammers seem to offer digital games at a discount or even for free. Always check the prices with well-known retailers such as Steam. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is. Interested to learn about the dangers of downloading games? Check our article "Alternatives for illegal downloading".

This website has been set-up several years ago. We consider this a positive sign. The longer a website exists, the more it can be expected that it is legit. However, the age of the website is unfortunately no guarantee. In some cases, scammers have been found to buy existing domain names and start their malicious practice here. So checking a website remains a necessity.

Technical Analysis

We discovered that this website is using an internal review system. An internal review system allows the owner of the website to edit, prioritize or remove reviews, We consider this less reliable than external review systems such as Trustpilot, Sitejabber or ResellerRatings. We, therefore, give the website a slightly lower trust score.

We have identified payment methods such as Alipay, Mastercard, Paypal, Visa who offer the consumer the option to get their money back if a product is not delivered or another form of dispute arises between the consumer and the merchant. There is never a 100% guarantee. Each payment method has its own restrictions to get money back and the merchant may still entice you to use a different payment method. Make sure you are paying with the method you want to. Want to know more? Read our article on "Safe Payment Methods".

This website is offering payment methods that allow the buyer and seller to remain anonymous. While this may have benefits for the consumer, it also allows the merchant to "hide". Especially paying with a wire transfer, Moneygram, Western Union, and cryptocurrencies makes it very difficult to trace back the merchant. We recommend you pay with payment methods which offer some level of "money-back' guarantees such as the major credit cards and Paypal. Want to know more about Safe Payment Options? Read our blog.

A valid SSL certificate was found. Professional companies use an SSL certificate to encrypt communication between your computer and their website. However, there are different levels of certification and scammers also install a free SSL certificate. If you have to enter your data, never do this without checking if an SSL certificate protects your information.

The registar of the domain serves mainly high-end customers. They also have a good due diligence process to make sure their Internet infrastructure is only used by legit companies. As a result, it is less likely that this domain is used by scammers and cybercriminals. We, therefore, increased the trust score of [domain].

Popular Stories

As the influence of the internet rises, so does the prevalence of online scams. There are fraudsters making all kinds of claims to trap victims online - from fake investment opportunities to online stores - and the internet allows them to operate from any part of the world with anonymity. The ability to spot online scams is an important skill to have as the virtual world is increasingly becoming a part of every facet of our lives. The below tips will help you identify the signs which can indicate that a website could be a scam. Common Sense: Too Good To Be True When looking for goods online, a great deal can be very enticing. A Gucci bag or a new iPhone for half the price? Who wouldn’t want to grab such a deal? Scammers know this too and try to take advantage of the fact. If an online deal looks too good to be true, think twice and double-check things. The easiest way to do this is to simply check out the same product at competing websites (that you trust). If the difference in prices is huge, it might be better to double-check the rest of the website. Check Out the Social Media Links Social media is a core part of ecommerce businesses these days and consumers often expect online shops to have a social media presence. Scammers know this and often insert logos of social media sites on their websites. Scratching beneath the surface often reveals this fu

So the worst has come to pass - you realise you parted with your money too fast, and the site you used was a scam - what now? Well first of all, don’t despair!! If you think you have been scammed, the first port of call when having an issue is to simply ask for a refund. This is the first and easiest step to determine whether you are dealing with a genuine company or scammers. Sadly, getting your money back from a scammer is not as simple as just asking.  If you are indeed dealing with scammers, the procedure (and chance) of getting your money back varies depending on the payment method you used. PayPal Debit card/Credit card Bank transfer Wire transfer Google Pay Bitcoin PayPal If you used PayPal, you have a strong chance of getting your money back if you were scammed. On their website, you can file a dispute within 180 calendar days of your purchase. Conditions to file a dispute: The simplest situation is that you ordered from an online store and it has not arrived. In this case this is what PayPal states: "If your order never shows up and the seller can't provide proof of shipment or delivery, you'll get a full refund. It's that simple." The scammer has sent you a completely different item. For example, you ordered a PlayStation 4, but instead received only a Playstation controller.  The condition of the item was misrepresented on the product page. This could be the
