Company advertised product (contact lenses) with online promotion at 35.99/box. Went to order 4 boxes. Total accurate based on the advertised price. Went to pay only to have a $112 "processing fee" along with the "Dear valued customers, In recent times, we’ve noticed a trend among our competitors, who are displaying extremely low upfront prices online to appear more competitive. Despite our initial reluctance, we’ve needed to adopt this practice at OptiContacts[removed by editor] due to the impact it had on our traffic and orders, despite our competitive pricing." They actually acknowledged that they lured customers with one price only to not provide the product at that price. This is BAIT AND SWITCH at its worst. Once the fee was added, the contact lenses came out to be $62/box, almost twice the amount as advertised. Are deceptive practices like this legal?
