I purchased the CALM CARRY device when I saw the advert in my Facebook feed.
It had rave reviews and said it was all natural and as a patient who can not tolerate most medications due to health complications, I took an interest.
I have several NHS
consultant diagnosed severe mental health conditions. For which I have suffered with most of my life, from childhood onwards.<br />
These include C- PTSD, BPD and related. As well as mental trauma related physical disabilities and neurological- neurodivergent diagnoses.<br />
I’m now a middle aged woman.<br />
I was especially interested in the Calm Carry because I usually do not respond positively to medications - drug or natural and my mobility and functioning on a daily basis, is incredibly impaired.<br />
I suffer severe sleep deprivation as well as a whole host of related issues linked to my central nervous system<br />
But when a drug or a device works - it truly works on me and I am known for finding out the placebos from the genuine thing<br />
I have now thoroughly tested the device for several weeks. On a daily and a nightly basis<br />
and I am very disappointed to report that It has had absolutely no effect.<br />
I have thought everything through carefully before writing my review and I can wholeheartedly say that this device is a clever placebo.<br />
But if it works - use it !<br />
It will be excellent in comforting anxious children at bedtime and the majority of people who seem to suffer some form of the blues or generalised anxiety these days<br />
As for those with ANY kind of serious , severe mental illness or disability of any type - I can not stress enough - AVOID AVOID AVOID<br />
I believe that the company need to revise how they market this device and who to.<br />
Making very explicit that it is absolutely NOT SUITABLE for serious mental illnesses or disability<br />
